At The End Of The Day

At the end of the day it’s time to reflect. What have you accomplished? What impact have you made? How is the world better off because you lived today?

If there is purpose in life we should be able to reflect on today, last week, last month, and last year. We should be able to see the difference we’ve made and changes we need to make in our own lives in order to continue having a ripple effect.

Too many people simply live life with no thought of what’s ahead, what’s important, or what they should be doing. They have no eternal view in sight.

What has God called you to do? Who has He called you to touch – and how? Do you have a vision for your future? What are your dreams? Where is God leading you?

Times of reflection and listening to God help us continue to make a difference.

Enjoy Life!

You don’t have to travel the world or spend a lot of money to enjoy life. Life is what you make it. You can savor the simple pleasures or sit back wishing you had more, did more, etc.

Embrace the moment. Have fun. Be silly. Let loose. Enjoy life. Obviously there is a time and place to be silly and let loose. We can’t do this all the time but it’s certainly healthy – on many levels – to partake of this memory-building type of fun.

Life is full of various stresses but we don’t have to come under those stresses. We can learn to capture the pleasures in life that are all around us. The Bible talks about a cheerful heart – it puts a smile on your face and it’s like medicine! Relishing simple moments in life is a de-stressor, a pick-me-up, and so much more.

Enjoying life may involve moments of silly little fun but other times it’s delighting in a sunrise or sunset, stopping to smell the flowers, watching a butterfly, or numerous other little pleasures that we all too often overlook.

Sometimes, we need to make adjustments to our lives in order to pull out of the whirlwind of productivity to add some simplistic enjoyment to our lives.

What changes do you need to make in order to experience the life God wants you to enjoy?

One Touch

This experience at the aquarium makes me think. We were all able to touch the stingrays! Some touched several, some of us waited longer, and some needed help but we stood together until we all enjoyed the experience.

Sometimes it takes determination to make that connection with Jesus. Sometimes we need help. One thing is for sure – if we don’t give up, we’ll make that connection that empowers us to live the life that God has planned for us. Not a life of religion.

The life God has planned for us is full of adventure, success, fulfillment, and rich in peace and joy. He equips us to help others find this rewarding life because He wants everyone to enjoy the experience of life He provides.

Had the little ones refused help, they wouldn’t have experienced the thrill of the moment. Had the adults been impatient or unwilling to help, the kids would have lost out.

Are you experiencing the thrill of the moment that God has planned for you? Tell Him that you want to experience all He has for you. Put aside all preconceived ideas and religious thinking. Stretch out your hand, ask for help, and wait. You won’t be disappointed!
